1. So I have a background in pageantry and I was Miss Teen Soweto 2018. I have never really looked into fashion modelling because I’ve always believed that I am very short and I wouldn’t qualify to be on the runway so I opted to do pageantry and that is what sparked my love for the entertainment industry.
2. My journey started when I was 13 and I entered a number of pageants and I did not win. When I was 14 I decided to enter Miss Teen Dobsonville and that is when I won my first title and it was first place which means I was the queen. Then I decided that I’m not going to collect titles but rather I will use whichever title that I have at the time to make an impact.
3. Firstly I would say the building of your personal profile, it is very important to know who you are before you go into a pageant. The second most important aspect has to be the alignment of your goals and what you’re doing within the pageant industry, you can’t just enter a lot of pageants and collect titles and not do anything after collecting those titles there has to be a goal that has to be impact there has to be alignment with the bigger picture of who you want to be.
4. For me Hope, it also means getting a platform to get closer to your dreams, and further means being in a space where you meet so many wonderful people and you are given an opportunity that you would otherwise not have through the platform.
5. I’m really passionate about the quality of education and this is the sustainable development goal number 4 by the United Nations. I believe that in the next coming two years I will be the greatest advocate for quality education in the continent and furthermore in the world and I do believe that everything that I do daily to try to enhance the quality of education in our country will pay off and I will see results.
6. Echoes of 76 started through a conversation, I was sitting with the global shapers so we have members and I asked them who they were going to vote for in their coming 2024 elections and I saw that young people did not know who they wanted to vote for and honestly our thought were very different and this of course comes from the divers nature of politics. Then decided to create a platform where people would have one despite the political party that they belong to. The organisation is truly inspired by the resilient nature of the youth of 1976 in South Africa and mainly in Soweto because they took the streets to fight for education but they were also fighting against apartheid and it is very important for us to carry on the legacy by fighting for our education and that is not just any kind of education but quality education and education that is free for all.
7. This is a very interesting one, I will share words that I believe I need someone to say to me even to this day “ it is very important to dream big, and I mean bigger than you think is possible because if you’re a believer like myself you know that God is able to do abandonedly above all that you can imagine, all that you can pray for and all that you can do for yourself. Therefore don’t be scared to go for it, I know the imposter syndrome situation is very serious however at the end of the day it will all work out whether it takes five years for you for others it took one year but it will all work out”
